Form 16 is a certificate issued by your employer certifying your salary and the TDS deducted by the employer with respect to salary alone that you earned from the Company.Its issued only where the employer has deducted tax on salary. Its issued once a year usually on or before 31st May of the next year ie after the financial year.But pls note this is only in regard to Salary income.
Form 16A is issued for TDS deducted by other than your employer like for example your bank would have deducted TDS on interest on deposits or interest on other securities etc.
If you download Form 26AS from the site,you can check for what all taxes you can take credit for while computing tax.
The Tax shown in the certificates are to be taken credit from your total tax liability and only balance is to be paid.I hope your clear.
