my client have many companie's shares.Amongest such companies, some company has dissolved and value of such companies shares are nil in the recent time. now what is the treatment of such nil value share and how it will be shown in the total income?

untill u hold the share no need to shown in the total income...but if u want to take benefit of capital loss then u should sale the nil value share out of stock exchange.

The dead stocks are not traded on stock exchange or in open market. Its capital loss.
