There was a proviso to clause (vi) of sub section (5) to section 80G which read as follows:- "Provided that any approval shall have effect for such assessment years not exceeding five assessment years as may be specified in the approval". But Finance (No.2) Act,2009 had omitted the proviso with effect from October 1,2009 meaning thereby that if the approval is vaild as on that date, no need to file renewal application if the registration is not cancelled by the Commissioner. No circular/notification is published by CBDT in this matter.

yes, no circular is available but in the 80G registration certificate it is applicable wef A/Y....,will be mentioned but there is no closing date.
