29 June 2016 i am doctor running hospital my mother is very senior citizen age 81 years i spend Rs 25000/- on my mother`s treatment in cash can i claim 80d deduction on that amount please give expert opinion

29 June 2016 NO, if you take the medical policy then you take the benefit.
for medical checkup deduction upto Rs. 5000/- will allowed.

30 June 2016 no in case of very senior citizen no mediclaim will be there cost of treatment on very senior citizen upto RS30000/- comes under 80d
