30 November 2009 wife dint filed return for last 7 yrs due to no business. now she wants to file the return again(same business).
To file the return(A.Y.2009-10)now, if i go wit the LAST Return filed Acknowledgment the Officer will raise question about the last 7yrs.
so should i file the return as a new case showing only the PAN.

30 November 2009 She can file the return for the financial years 2007-08 and 2008-09 now. The earlier 5 years return cannot be filed now since it is barred by time.

01 December 2009 agree with expert if your income is not taxable in any F.Y its not compulsory to file return ok so dont worry about it and as per Mr. Warrier it is barred by time but if your income was taxable in any F.Y. it may create Problem.. but from now you can file above 2 yrs return whatever taxable or not.
