54 section exemption

02 April 2014 an assessee owns 1 self occupied house and three flats...he wishes to sell one flat and invest in other residential property...can he claim benefits of section 54..even if he holds more than 2 house

02 April 2014 Yes he can do so. There is no restriction no of flats under section 54

03 May 2014 the three flats are not self occupied they r let out.can still 54 exemption be claimed

03 May 2014 as I said before, there is no restriction on the same. you can claim
