I want to know whether tds to de deducted under sec 194C if we are making payments to TV channels other than government channels directly towards advertisements.
Also whether tds to be deducted for payments made to newspapers directly ?

Hi,
As per Circular No 715 dated 08-08-1995, payments made directly to print and electronic media would be covered u/s 194 C, EXCEPTION is only for Doordarshan.
