can we can appeal on that ground that we did not have taxable income that so we did not file return ..or we should go for other option

Yes, you can appeal on the ground no taxable income. But you have to disclose sources of income for cash deposit.

total cash deposit was 26 lakhs so I can calculate 8 % and computation provide in appeal it is fine
