17 October 2010 can u give standard format to give replay for 142notice. asesee has filled return for the ay2008-09. ito send 142notice on8-10-10. can u find probable reson for 142 notice. is it validnotice

ITO can send Notice U/s 142 for various reason. Reply for the same is depend upon notice.

Format is same as standard letter format, ie

1 From - Assessee name & Address
2. To - ITO Address
3. Sub:
4. Body of letter
5. Sign
6. Enclosures
7. Date & place
