20 January 2014 Helloo I want to file my employers "NIL SERVICE TAX RETURN" online. I dont know the exact form no so can u please guide me and tell me how to file it and what is the form no.???
Plz help its very urgent...

Identify the Form: The form you need to use depends on the type of service provider you are (individual, partnership, company, etc.) and the period for which you are filing. Typically, for a NIL return, you might use Form ST-3 or ST-3A depending on your status.

Accessing the Form:

Visit the official website of the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) or the Service Tax Department.
Look for the section related to "Service Tax" or "Legacy Tax" (since Service Tax has been replaced by GST).
Find the appropriate form (e.g., ST-3 for service providers) that matches your filing requirement.
Filing Online:

Register or log in to the GSTN portal or the designated portal for Service Tax (as applicable for the period you are filing).
Navigate to the section for filing returns and select the appropriate form for NIL return filing.
Fill in the details accurately. For a NIL return, ensure you indicate that there were no taxable services provided during the period.
