What is the effect of Budget provisions 2012-13 on Section 54EC of Income Tax Act.
20 March 2012
No change in 54EC. However, a new section 54GB has been introduced wherein capital gain arises from LTCG on residential property is exempted if invested in equity shares of eligible company.
