31 December 2012 Please give me the complete step to e-file monthly VAT return (Gujarat state)

01 January 2013 Mr Dashrath Patel,
For this purpose you should get an username and a password given by the department. Go to your VAT office ,file a letter requesting them to provide U/N and P/W. Visit the web site www.gvat.nic.gov.in and click e-filing. There are instructions also as how to use it.Fill in your details of trade in a month/quarter etc.For making payments through a bank you have to approach the bank authorised by the Govt,which is also given in the instructions,who will give another username and pass word. By using them you can make payment directly from your bank a/c to the govt. On successful submission of return the web site will give you an unique acknowledgement number and the bank give a copy of the payment voucher. The on-line return and payment copies can be printed out and filed.
