16 November 2019 TDS on rent is to be made if it exceeds threshold limit.Rs.2,40,000/- per annum. As the monthly rent is Rs.58,000/- definitely attract TDS. If TDS is not deducted , there is possibility of not allowing the expenses as per Income Tax act . the TDS can be paid for the month of Marhc 2020 along with interest from the due date of making payment ( 7th of the succeeding month) till the date of making payment.
