Wrong quoting of PAN in ITR-1

Dear Friends / Experts,
A friend of mine in Thane inadvertently filled wrong PAN and filed his ITR-1, which also received by ITD without PAN verification.
Now, it has been noticed by the Assessee.
What is the remedy ?
Ans : Can we simply file it with all exact information except quoting the RIGHT PAN ?
I shall wait for your views.

You friend can revise his IT-return if it is within time-limit or else can send a letter to AO inforoming about the correct PAN.
