Wrong date mentioned in aoc-4 & mgt-7

26 October 2016 Dear Sir,

While filling MGT-7 & AOC-4 for my client I have attached the AGM notice with the AGM meeting to be held at 30 Septemeber 2016. But while filling the Form I mistakenly put date as 26 September as AGM held date.

What are the consequences of this .Please let me know the remedy to rectify the same .

03 August 2025 If you have mentioned the wrong AGM date (26 September instead of 30 September) in MGT-7 and AOC-4, here’s what you need to know and do:
Consequences:
Filing incorrect information is a technical error but can attract queries or notices from the Registrar of Companies (RoC).
It might lead to non-compliance issues as the AGM date is important for legal timelines and record-keeping.
Usually, minor errors like this do not attract heavy penalties but can cause complications during compliance verification.
Remedies:
File a corrected / revised MGT-7 and AOC-4 (if allowed) or a fresh filing:
MCA portal does not allow direct revision of these forms.
You can file a fresh set of forms with correct information, mentioning that it is a correction.
Attach a clarification letter explaining the mistake and rectification.
Make a note in the company’s records:
Record the correct AGM date and the reason for the correction.
If RoC raises any query:
Respond promptly with explanation and corrected forms.
Important:
