05 December 2011 Please help me, about this matter: i have made e-payment in the accounts of central excise duty (PLA) in the current month but by mistake the payment has been deposit in the account of service tax.
so that whats the solution of this mistake to correct the accounts code and use the payments in proper accounts. also give me suggestions to filing the ER-1 in current month PLA Accounts.

15 December 2011 Seek the assistance of your Service tax commissioner in this regard if he wish to transfer the amount to your excise code, a good representation may resolve the issue in single visit on genuine grounds.

in general you have to claim back the amount from service tax, but pay the ED in cash at present.
