Working of IT departments on 31.7.2010

29 July 2010 pls let me know whether it departments are working on 31.7.2010 (since its Saturday on 31.7.10)

30 July 2010 IT dept. will be accepting IT returns on Saturday, 31st July. The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has directed the Income Tax Department to make arrangements for receiving income tax returns on 31-July-2010, which is a Saturday.

31 July is the due date for filing tax returns by most taxpayers. This year the day falls on a Saturday and the department has been asked to make special arrangements to receive the IT Returns on that day. The I-T Department has also asked to special arrangements by setting up additional counters from 28 July 2010 to 31-July-2010 to handle the last-minute rush in receiving the IT Returns.

30 July 2010 agreed & not only they received on saturday but also they will received after the office time....lately to help everybody to file in due date to exit problem. so don't worry about it.
