I have read that WCT rate is 4% + cess.. But in many companies they levy WCT @ 4% rather than 4.12%. Please give me clarification regarding it.

yup its 4+cess...but from 1/04 its 4.8%+cess..

But in many companies they are charging 4% (old). I don't understand. And also when i ask them regarding it they say that WCT is a VAT concept. It is not filed in service tax return, it is filed in VAT returns. And they are not charging cess in it. Please answer me this....
