14 July 2012 Dear expert,
Since last 15 days, I am observing that my laptop not taking auto updates and whenever I try it to do manually, a message appeares again and again that "windows update service not running it need to restart" . My AVG antivirus program also stopped to working. I uninstalled it and downloaded the avast free antivirus but after restart it was totally removed from laptop. I tried another softwares, but result is again same.
Please advise me.

15 July 2012 Might be it this is due to virus on your system.
As free antivirus software not provide real time virus detection . so format your system and give your system a good antivirus.
