Why I.T act prescribed W.D.V method for depriciation under Sec 32 why not S.L.M method under the chapeter PGBP?

29 September 2013 There is logic for applying WDV method. Maintenance cost will increase with passage of time. Hence to equate the balance between depreciation charge & maintenance cost, WDV method is the best rather to opt SLM where the blanket rate is applied irrespective of yearly maintenance cost.
