21 June 2013 Actually I have filed ITR 1 , but since I read somewhere that loss from HP (housing loan ) we should file ITR2 . what are the consequences of Not filing correct return

21 June 2013 That means your return is defective return due to the non selection of proper ITR form. So you will receive 139(9) notice with request of correction of the mistakes committed by you at the time of filing of return of income.So after receipt of such notice file ITR-2 u/s 139(9). It will not you make any problem. Don't worry for this regards.

Otherwise you can file revise return now if your original return filed u/s139(1) and filing of revised return due time still available.
