05 June 2025 I am currently doing BCOM along with CS. I would like to study further, which can add value to CS. So, what option would be better, CS+LLB or CS+MBL?

06 June 2025 While LLB provides a broad legal foundation, MBL offers a more focused and in-depth understanding of laws directly relevant to businesses. This can be highly beneficial for a CS whose core function revolves around corporate compliance.
Given that you are doing B.Com along with CS, CS+LLB is often considered a very powerful combination in India. It provides a "double-edged sword" as one source mentioned, allowing you to handle both secretarial and a wide range of legal functions. Many companies prefer a CS with an LLB as they can fulfill both roles effectively, especially in smaller to medium-sized organizations where separate legal departments might not exist.

However, if you are absolutely certain that you only want to focus on business-related legal aspects and have no inclination towards litigation or general legal practice, then MBL could be a more focused and efficient option for you to enhance your CS qualification.
