i have purchased a house in the year2000 and make payment in installment and received possession in the year 2008 and also get registry (RD) in 2008 and sold it in 2009.
i want to know whether gain on it is short term or long term capital gain (i.e. from where period of holding is considered).

In my opinion it will be STCG as the date to be considered is date of registration
