What is meant by "jurisdiction of residence" & "tax id no"

I was filling ITR2 form. And i selected NRI as i was out of India for more than 183 days.
In new ITR form, i saw this questions.
(i) Please specify the jurisdiction(s) of residence during the previous year -
S.No. Jurisdiction(s) of residence Taxpayer Identification Number(s)
1 _____________________ ________________
Can someone please explain me, what details will go into this?
Since i was in US, will it be "USA" and "SSN number"
