What is cop no. in case of ca

01 July 2014 I Was filing DIR-3, in that there is a mandatory field of COP No.
I want to know what is COP No. in case CA is signing the DIR-3?

02 July 2014 Sir, that i know. But all my friends who are in practice have Membership No. only, which we use to call as COP no. but in DIR-3 there are two different fields for COP and Membership No. So i am confused that what is the difference between Membership No. and COP No.

02 July 2014 membership no is given to all CA who is registered with ICAI.. whether in job, business or practice

cop no is given to all those members who are in practice

so those chartered who are in practice have both membership no and cop no dear

like m in job i have membership no only

one of my friend have both because he is in practice
