It is about deemed assesment of ITR.

It is an assessment done by Income tax department prima facie checking the return submittted...and passing of refund claimed, if any...
An order is to be issued by department if the assesment under this section is completed. (if no order is givn then return's acknowledgement is deemed assessment under this section). But if the department finds that the somewhere calculations are wrong in return and if the calculations were right then there be a demand then department can issuse demand under section 156 along with assessment order under sectiobn 143(1).
