Is it the responsibilty of the employer to vouch the correctness of information regarding savings given by the employee in his TDS declaration?

It is the responsibility of the employer to check whether the investment made are in line with the declaration as provided in the declaration.
As responsibility to deduct TDS falls on the employer, it is the responsibility of the employer that the computation is corrctly done.
