can u please explain with a small example what is a vlook up function.Please also let me know the definition and the situation in which this function is being used.

15 April 2011 If you need to pull a data-point corresponding to a particular data point, you can use v-lookup. For instance, if you have a sheet with names and age of 200 people. From this you want to pull the ages of 5 particular people in a different sheet, you can use v-lookup.
