guide me how to do the vlookup function in excel 2007, i am trying to learn myself but the result is not coming exactly.

kindly guide me for the above.

12 April 2012 type "=vlookup(select the cell which u want to lookup, select the range, select the column no which u want the result) then u will get the desired value.

22 August 2012 vlookup looks for presence of a value in another set of values. Assume the value are looking is A2 and you wnat to search this is another place where there are F1 to f100 then formula should be framed as under

=vlookup(A2,$F$1:$F$100,1,0)
