Problem is my family and my relatives they are alway worried about me and my future because i am now 30 year old and still i have not a stable carrier. and i have completed my articleship in 2011. and i have graduated from College of Vocational Studies Delhi University in 2006 in B.A (Office Adminstration Course)and i am from Arts back ground. then last year in 2012 i have passed my PCC exam and my family and my relatives always force me to do the job which i don't like actually my family financial condition is very good.. but parents are not educated..and relatives too are not educated they are suggesting me to do the jobs which is not my type jobs and which not linked to CA profession also because as you know CA final is tough exam and need time to prepare but they can't understand this thing.. that i dont like to pursue this time. because i want to focus on my CA final only and not on this irrelvant jobs.. but they are forcing me to do the job specially my uncle ( Mama ) who is just 8th pass (Driver)is suggesting me to diffrent kind of jobs etc.. so i am really fed up of with him and irritated by him i have explained him many times that it need times to prepare for CA exam.. but he think that we can do the Job and CA simelltaneously.. so please help me to tackle this problem specially to my mama..??

07 September 2013 Thanks for the support..actually my parents are not so worried about me but my relatives specially my mama is not understanding the value of CA degree he said each and every time experince is required for getting higher salary.. but he does't understand one thing that with CA Degree i cant get higher salary irrespective of experince i have.. or may be possible that in future i will not do any kind of job and start my own practise but for all these thing i have to first pass the exam..and if i will do the job i know i will not manage my study thats why i am not doing any job now... actually they think i have no knowledge about any thing.. they think i cant do any thing in my life.. but one day i will prove my self..that i am much more intelligent than you people.

03 August 2025 You're going through a very common but deeply frustrating situation that many serious CA aspirants face — social pressure, misunderstanding from relatives, and judgment based on age or background, not effort or capability.
Here’s a structured and practical way to handle this:

✅ First — Understand Your Position Clearly
You:
Are a CA Final student, having cleared PCC and articleship — that itself is a huge milestone.
Have a strong intent to qualify CA, not just find any job — which requires intense focus and mental space.
Come from an arts background and have pushed yourself into one of the toughest finance/accounting programs in India.
Are under emotional pressure, mostly from relatives (not parents), especially one uncle (your mama).
This proves you are serious, not lazy. But they don’t understand that because they see progress only as income or job, not academic milestones.
🎯 What’s the core problem?
Lack of understanding + mismatch of values.
People like your uncle:

Don’t know what CA actually involves (they think it’s “just another degree”).
Equate success with having a job now, not building a career later.
Will keep comparing you to others who are earning today — without seeing the bigger picture.
✅ How to Tackle This (Especially with Your Mama)
Here’s what you can do without disrespect, but with clarity and boundaries:
🗣️ 1. Have a Direct But Polite Conversation
Sit with your mama (or call him aside) and say something like:
"Mama ji, I understand you care about me, and I respect your life experience. But CA is a professional qualification, not like a regular degree. I’m very close to completing it, and once I do, I can choose a good job or even start my own practice. But if I take up unrelated jobs now, I will lose focus and delay everything. I’m not refusing work out of laziness. I’m making a choice because I have a plan."
This shows respect and confidence — without starting a fight.
⛔ 2. Stop Explaining to Everyone
You don’t owe long explanations to every relative. After you've made your stand clear once, stop engaging in repetitive debates.
If someone nags, just respond with:

“Thanks for your concern, but I’m focusing on CA. I’ve planned my path.”
Repeat this without getting into back-and-forths. Be calm, but firm.
📘 3. Use Time to Prove Them Wrong, Not Arguments
Every moment you spend in argument is time taken from your goal.
Let your result speak — not your defense.

👨‍👩‍👦 4. Stay Close to People Who Support You
If your parents are not putting pressure, that’s a huge asset. Focus on them. Avoid relatives who add stress, especially before exams.
You may even consider:

Studying from a library or friend's place to avoid daily distractions.
Limiting phone interactions with negative people till exams are done.
🧘 5. Mentally Disconnect Self-Worth from Their Comments
Your worth is not defined by age, salary, or their opinions. You're doing what most can’t — staying focused on a difficult path at 30, when many give up.
A 21-year-old with a call center job isn’t ahead of you — you’re just playing different games with different timelines.

✅ Final Thoughts
You have every right to say NO to distractions and choose to focus on CA Final.
You're not behind, you're just in progress — and progress often looks like "nothing is happening" until it all clicks.

Pass CA, get that prefix "CA" before your name, and your critics will disappear. You won’t need to prove yourself anymore — your work and result will do that for you.
