Department sent verification of refund claim to the assessee. assessee did not respond within the time given. now there is no option to verify claim under pending work list.. how to get the refund now that the option to respond is not available

As such no concrete resolution, but try helpline. If the assessee is unable to get any resolution via the helpline, can file a grievance on the Income Tax portal under the "Grievance" section. This will allow to escalate the issue and get assistance.
