02 September 2011 Hi ,

Mr.X doing iron ore sale business....the supplying of iron ore through lorries is also carrying by the Mr.X...

1. he Hire the lorries which are using for Supplying but he did not deduct TDS........

this case is for FY 2008-09

Now he recieve one notice from DEPT.. for non deduction of TDS ...

so, please suggest me what are the further consequences.......what Mr.X to do for replying the notice.

plz reply asap...........very needed......thanx in advance for ur valuable suggestions

02 September 2011 GET the PAN card copies of lorries used, and then reply to notice that the lorries owners had PAN card so TDS was not deducted.

02 September 2011 divide the transporters in multiple persons and bring them below the TDS limit. the only solution.

02 September 2011 Thank you sir but problem is for tking below tds limit i have to deduct them in to around 580 members because the amount is around 2cr

03 September 2011 According to me, please calculate the correct transport charges which crossing the threshold limit and calculate the TDS and pay the same as penalty, that will be the correct way and you can come out from the problem
