Validity period of depb license

30 April 2012 Dear Sir,

Kindly clarify whether validity of DEPB license for 24 months begins from the date of license issued by DGFT or from the date of registration of license at any port for its utilization.

01 May 2012 The licence shall be valid for 24 months for imports from the date of its issuance as per foreign trade policy 2009-2014..

I heard that DEPB is now stand cancelled so what is the alternative incentive available and also i would like to know how to get benefit of it. Suppose my product is Gluconate or related to maize products then how do i get benefit of export?

from this scheme govt. has loss 8500 crore annualy that is why govt closed this scheme.

& i would like to again inform this club that DEPB SCHEME already withdrawal by DGFT & various items already merged in DRAWBACK scheme.

Sir, They have closed the scheme but what is the alternative. Suppose i am exporting then how do i claim the duty or what is the best way. Our product is made of Maize i.e. Gluton, Glucose and other Maize products.
