28 August 2012 Dear Sir, I want to know that If Chq Issue on 16/3/2012 is valid for 6 Months or Not ?

28 August 2012 now its 3 month

28 August 2012 The period of 3 months is applicable only to cheques issued on or after 1.4.2012.

It is NOT applicable to cheque issued prior to 1.4.2012.

Accordingly, cheque issued on 16.3.2012 is valid for 6 months.

28 August 2012 Dear Sir, Thanks for Information I also want to know that If Bank refuse to take this chq. in clearing what can I do ?

29 August 2012 although bank should not but if they are not clearing the cheque take the notification copy and speak with branch manager..
