Utilisation of funds by a society

14 August 2013 can a society registered under the society act 1860 utilise for the charitable purpose at nepal though the funds collected in india. if we can utilise then what are the provision applicable for the same.

14 August 2013 specify whether it is registered u/s 12A/12AA?

15 August 2013 society registered u/s 12A.

15 August 2013 and what would be the case if its not registered in any of these sections?

16 August 2013 Yes you can apply fund in Nepal.

for claiming 85% of utilization, the project should be a project for which India is interested.

Normally, project under taken by Indian Embassy qualify.

If it is not the project for which India is not interested, then the expenditure incurred by you for the project can not be taken for calculating 85%

16 August 2013 If your Trust/society is not registered under 12A/12AA, then you are not allow to take benefit of exemption when you incurred 85% of total for charitable purpose
