As per the articles of a company under 1956 in addition to right conferred on the shareholderss under section 169 of hte act ti requisition an eogm, an eogm of the shares holders may be called by the chairman or by any three directors by notice to the chairman who shall cause to call the meeting as required.

So does the eogm called by the chairman or three directors fall under egm by requistion?

30 July 2015 Please refer Section 100 of Companies Act, 2013.

The Board may, whenever it deems fit, call an EGM of the Company. Hence, in your case, if Chairman or three directors are ready, then EGM can be called.

Further, if members wants the directors to call EGM, then you need to look at Section 100(2) of the Companies Act 2013.

Section 100(1) is calling of EGM as per desire of the Board. Whereas Section 100(2) is calling of EGM as per requisition of members.
