18 January 2012 Dear Sir,
1. I want to know that is it compulsary to give bank account details for the F Y 2010-11 for e filing of ITR IV if the assessee does not have refund ?
2. sir i have mentioned the incorrect date of birth while e filing ITR IV for the year F. Y.2009-10, whether i have to revise it or not?

19 January 2012 Wrong mentioning of any particulars viz name, f'name, address or dob does not effect the processing of ITR efiled because all these informations while processing are picked up from PAN DATA BASE and the details mentioned by you are not ever referred to. Therefore there is no need to revise the return only because you have mentioned a wrong DOB.

05 February 2012 Bank Account details are mainly necessary only for refunds. In case your computation results in a refund, it may not reach you.

Reg DOB: It could result in wrong computation for senior citizens. Only Gender data is taken from PAN database. DOB data is taken from ITR only
