This query is regarding a web-based company that sells online publications. The company is small with turnover less than Rs. 8 lacs per annum. If it accepts cash transfers to bank account as the mode of payment, is it sufficient to raise bills in PDF format, if a customer asks for it. Is the company under any obligation to put signatures on a printout and mail it to the customer?

thank you for the reply! I have a related query also. Confirmation emails generated from online ordering systems are often treated as sufficient proof of sales. They do not contain any signature or seal, only the transaction details. Can the same rule apply if the receipt is created as PDF or any other digital format by the seller, i.e, no requirement for signature, only the transaction details?
