Unmatched amount of challan shown in traces

22 October 2014 In FY 12-13, Q4, 24Q, there are 3 challans in which amounts of two challan are totally unconsummed as this report shown from Traces. Here is only 1 challan amounting Rs:- 43500.00 out of which 38500.00 are unconsumed as shown from traces. I want to know what's reason of unconsumed challan & why this problem is raised. Bcoz in the last challan amounting rs:- 43500.00 there are 13 PAN combinations, in which only 2 PANs are matched with this challan & rest of 11 PAN are shown in traces as unmatched. That's why I am facing prob in downloading traces.

22 October 2014 There may be many causes for challan mismatch:-

1. Incorrect Particulars like TAN, AY, Major Head, Minor Head, while transmitting the challan by collecting bank.

2. Incorrect Reporting of Challan Details in TDS Return.

I would like to inform you that if a challan is in unmatched status, all the entries against that challan would be unmatched. It is not possible that some entries will match and some will not.

Please recheck your data and try to find out the problem.

27 October 2014 Mukkul Mehta, 1 challan out of 3 which has 13 PAN, Only two PANS & its amount are shown as booked status in Traces under view TDS/TCS statement. However total Challan's amount is Rs:- 43500.00 but amount of Rs: 38500.00 are unmatched status. it means amount of Rs:- 5000.00 on which two PAN (1 is 2000.00 tds & 2nd is 3000.00 tds amount) shown, which is booked. but to get conso file 3 PAN combination are required. please help me out how to do that..???
