Unable to file my updated ITR for the AY 2022 23

20 March 2023 I am getting the same error and not able to download ITR 2 income tax return utility for AY2022 23 from the official Income Tax website. Raised complaints and spoken to their Helpdesk but issue is yet to-be resolved. After I click the ITR 2 utility the message I am getting is excel found unreadable content in ITR2 do you want to recover the contents of this workbook. If you trust the source of this workbook click yes. So I clicked yes. Next message after sometime is the workbook cannot be opened or repaired by Microsoft excel because it is corrupt. Thus unable to download ITR2.

20 March 2023 By "downloading ITR 2" do you mean format for filing ITR 2?
Or you wish to file Updated return?
For updated return there is no difference in ITR forms ....

20 March 2023 Yes Sir, for updated return only the Income tax website after login to my account is asking me which year and then taking to this page where one can click the relevant ITR form there I am getting the error explained in my original query. The utility is for preparation of return after downloading the ITR form which is then uploaded in the ITR website after login.

20 March 2023 Wait for 10 more days for updating of excel utility. The updated return for AY 2022-23 can be filed only after 1st April, 2023.
