Can a company have more than one TAN ,
If it has branches all over india ?

15 June 2012 It is illegal to possess or use more than one TAN. Different branches/divisions of an entity may, however, have separate TAN.

We have to take separate TAN Number for each state and Branches of company. Our Company Lucas TVS Limited and Koyo Bearings India Limited are using separate TAN numbers for each state. However, PAN number is unique but TAN number can be more than one.
