Two separate excise invoice in one factory

I am facing a specific problem.

One of my client is having plant of fabrication. He wants to have two separate excise books as these are selling by different internal departments.

I have searched Excise rules but not getting any reference whether he can have different books or not

kindly help

your answer must have support of rules or judgements

21 September 2012 only one set/series is permitted however 2nd series / set is permitted by deputy commissioner of central excise for export only.

if you want to use multiple series, then apply to deputy comm, in writing stating the facts, after verification of revenue safeguard, he may grant the permission.
