Two different company with same address

I have registered two different companies operating in same address. Is it right as per companies act, 1956 that two companies can be registered in same address?? what are the consequences?? Please help me out???

But how can you prove that two company runs in the same address if questioned by ROC officers

There is nothing wrong if two companies are working at same office. As company is a artificial PERSON, and its nothing wrong if two or more natural person live at same home, similarly two or more companies can also have registered office at same place.
