Treatment of partial faulty material

We are a manufacturer of electric panels.
we have sold panel to customer & have fullfil all excise formalities the same. but some material of panel have been faulty & we will to take it back. Kindly let me know wheather we can take the excise benefit on it. or what the formalities we have to follow.

15 February 2009 Receive the panel back, along with duty paying documents. Take credit of excise duty paid under Rule 16. Repair the goods and send it back, after reversing the credit taken. If repair is not possible, you can cannabalise the parts. If scraping the material, pay duty on scraps.
