Treatement of warrents

Company has issued warrents to parties covered u/s 301 of the companies act.And the warrent would be converted into equity after 18 months from the date of issue should above transaction be treated as preferntial allotment of shares.

in my opinion, it is not an allotment of shares. warrants are not shares in itself.
