26 April 2013 can a religious trust use the donation received by him for a programme organised for celebrating birthday or the samadhi day of their guru, where only the deciple of the guru are allowed to attend the programme and they are paying for the cost of the programme.
Can a trust who has having 80G registration, and the donation received by it is exempted (50%) in the hand of doner, can deny the permission to general public to attand the programme without paying the amount they are charging for the cost of the programme organied by the trust. They claim it as inhouse programme but using the donation received from the general public by them.

26 April 2013 Legally it is not permitted as trust is generally for the benefit of beneficiary which can be a person or family in case of private trust and in case of religious trust it can be all people associated with that religion and not limited to a deciple of a particular religious guru.
