hi i want to know what is the differance between the transportation cost and freight

Does not seem there is much difference.
The only difference that comes to my mind is : In case of transportation cost, the expenditure can mean expenditure on running of own vehicle as well as amount paid to outsiders. But in case of freight, it is always amount payable to outsiders.
