Transport Allowance, LTA , Deduction for Gym Etc

04 January 2011 Hi my sister is working in an IT Company. She is using Public transport system (Bus) and is incurring around 20 Rupees per day. She is getting more than 1,000 as Transport allowance per month. Can she claim the expense incurred as deduction for computation of salary income?

And she used to travel from Karnataka to Kerala (Home) once in 2 or 3 months? She is getting more than 2000 as LTA.Can she claim deduction for the same as leave travel allowance or under any other head?

They are also giving 'TPI Incentive' and 'Bonus Exgratia-Adv Payment' .They are deducting a certain amount for using the Gym Facilities and also to Company welfare trust.

Kindly let me know the treatment of the above for the computation of Salary Income. Thanks in Advance

04 January 2011 conveyance allowance is allowed as an exemption to the tune of Rs. 800 per month only. One can claim LTA twice in every block of 4 years. So the option has to be exercised by the assessee to opt for the same. All incentive and bonus would form part of salary and from the above no other deduction I can think of.
