Can anyboby provide me details of transmission of shares where shares are held in demat mode.

Find out who is the registrar of the company.
Ask them to advise you on the procedures. This normally involves filling up of form with documents like death certificate (if that is the reason), will etc.
You can also write to company secretary / investor grievance cell of the company, if there is no response received form registrar
