11 January 2010 A co. registered as manufacturer with CE Deaprt. intends to carry on trading activities from the same premises, sought to get dealership registration.

what is the procedure of registration?

12 January 2010 If trading is sought for similar product manufactured then permission will have to be sought.

But if no similar product is manufactured at your premise, then only an intimation in this regard to be given to the jurisdictional authorities.

Trading and Manufacturing of similar product from the same premise is prohibited to safegaurd revenue

16 January 2010 First of all, you can carry on trading activities from the same premises, only of the products that you intend to trade are not similar to the products that you are manufacturing. Traded products must be separetely identifiable.
You will have to get yourself separately registered with the CE as a trader. You will be alloted a new ECC No. ending with ......XD001. Mere intimation will not do.
You have to identify a separate location for storage of such goods and see to it that these do not mix with the goods that you manufacture.
